My Story
My mission is to help other dance studio owners run their studios with laser point efficiency so that they have peace, joy and prosperity in their studio and time left over to enjoy all other aspects of their lives.
Like most studio owners, I spent several of my first years in business stressed out, overworked, worried about money, guilty for taking too much time away from my family to run a business that wasn’t profitable, and always overwhelmed by my to-do list. I hated always feeling like I was in a reactive state, realizing just a little too late that a task needed to be taken care of, always scrambling, never getting to the end of the list.
Looking around at successful powerhouse entrepreneurs, I started to ask the question; how do some people accomplish so much, so fast? For 3 years, I read and studied everything I could get my hands on about time management, efficiency, and winning habits. I bought and completed every dance studio owner training I could find.
Then an idea hit me, maybe I could relax a little knowing that my whole year is planned out; knowing that each task leading up to every event and deadline has been given a place on the calendar. The process of creating a calendar for the whole year revealed where systems needed to be created, ways that I could maximize my profits, save time to spend with my family, and ultimately lead to peace of mind knowing that everything was planned and I could just follow the plan.
As I built my rhythm calendar, I built systems for every action item, and made them all easily searchable and reproducible for my team. In my first full year of following my week by week plan, I cut my work hours by 50% and increased my profits by 30%.
That was 7 years ago. I continue to run my studio on my rhythm calendar and shared studio operating systems.
In December of 2022, my studio was put to the ultimate test when I suddenly had to step away. It was exactly one week before our winter showcase. My husband suffered a medical emergency. We were 2 hours from home. He was in the ICU. I had no idea what was going to happen. Every aspect of my life was up in the air, except my studio.
